Some of the famous quote that I want to share;

"Touch a hot stove for a minute, it feel like an hour. Sit with a hot girl for an hour, it feel like a minute."

well, this show the mind power when we are doing something that we love or we hate. so, in order to love, and to have confidence, and to smile (are you smiling?) (yes you are) (now you are really smiling :) (is it hard to smile?) (no rite ;), we need powerful quotes to prepare our mind.

"Don’t bother just to be better than your contemporaries or predecessors.
Try to be better than yourself."

"To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe."

"What this country needs is more people to inspire others with confidence, and fewer people to discourage any initiative in the right direction more to get into the thick of things, fewer to sit on the sidelines, merely finding fault more to point out what’s right with the world, and fewer to keep harping on what’s wrong with it and more who are interested in lighting candles, and fewer who blow them out."

"One of the most adventurous things left us is to go to bed. For no one can lay a hand on our dreams."

"Dreams are today’s answers to tomorrow’s questions."

"A dream becomes a goal when action is taken toward its achievement."

But always remember, it is two different things when we shout at the side of the stadium telling our favourite football team to play and not to play-play, compared to; when we are the one on the field running and kicking the ball.

Action do speak louder than word

Wild Cat and Home Cat.

1st July 2008 - This is my second post for my blog and I’m thinking of writing it in English in order to learn and improve my English too. And please be my teacher and correct my errors in here.

It is about two different cliques of cat, which are the wild cat and the home cat. I, myself have a cat as a pet and we (my family), feed it every day since the cat is a kitten. His name is Tompok, called Pok or Popo.

This is the cat that I raised from small kitten until the one that you see in the picture. Pok has a fight today outside the house with another cat, he is injured badly and come back home with so many wounds. I don’t know what happened to the other cat, but to look at Pok with severe injuries, I’m sure the other cat is a big bully and right now was laughing at my precious Pok.

Before I also had another cat called Meimei (Rest in Peace, for a year now), and he was the king of the road.  Actually MeiMei just happened to be the only cat that was brave enough to come inside our house and stole food from under the ‘tudung saji’. My mother had to put a large heavy stone on the ‘tudung saji’ so that we won’t lose our lunch or dinner. To cut things short, my mother once went to the mosque and she listened to this talk about how we should treat animals nicely. Right after that, she went home and feed this thief cat until he became our pet. So, we didn’t adopt Meimei, its more like we feed him everyday.

That is the different because in POPO case, we provide him shelter and food and love. My youngest sister even brought him to sleep on the bed until he couldn’t even sleep alone. Today, when I was about to hug him, I realized that he had wounds all over his body. My cat had lost a battle and brought shame to the family. Worst, popo couldn’t even move, he lay lazily and act as if he had fought the biggest battle in his life. This is the different between cats that were raised dependant only on themselves and cats that depend on others and lavishly raised.  Being a home cat means being void of the falling rains, unable to look for own food, cannot survive battles and cannot sleep without comfort.

This worried me, because in the future if we were to leave him alone, he wont be able to survive minutes of being on his own. So now I am trying to train him to go outside and seek for his own meal and fight for it if he needed to. there is no more ‘give’ from us and only ‘take’ from him. ‘Instead of giving him a fish, why don’t we teach him how to ‘steal’ a fish?’.  In that way, he can survive even when we’re not there for him.

Actually, this is the analogy of two different characteristics of human. One, those who are not dependable on others and secondly, those who only wait for helps to come their way. The results, people who make it are those from the first group. Research had shown that people who are in dangerous zone or at least at the uncomfortable zone will push themselves harder and become creative survivor (they try to survive by using all means around them). So why wait for things to change by itself, because it won’t if we don’t change ourselves first.

So instead of waiting for help to come rolling at us, why don’t we take the first step forward by depending on ourselves. Looking at the wild cats, even though they were not as attractive as home cats, it could be seen that they sure will live longer. Difficulties teach us to be grateful of little luxury in life and more, it simply proved that ‘what does not kill you, make you stronger’. Walk until you blood appear at your brow, not your sweat. Why become the weak PoPo when you can become the fierce MeiMei? Do you want to receive sympathy gaze when you can gain respect look from others?
